France - Annecy - Ritson Gap - L : 15m - H : 30m

General Access : (Google Map)
From Annecy, take the road to La Roche sur Foron, and turn rigt to Villaz, then take direction Aviernoz. Follow road sign to go to the Anglettaz chalet. Park as high as possible (variable depending on the season)
Take footpath to go to the Dunand refugee (1h to 3h). From there, go to the left with the footpath following the crest (Tête du Parmelan direction). The Ritson Gap is below the crest (20mn from the refugee)

The line :
Where ?
The highline is between an easily reachable platform on the east, and a pillar accessible from a belay on the west (10m).

Who - When ?

Anchors :
- "Platform" side : 3 bolts for force and backup and trees for backup on the other side.
- "Pillar" side : 3 bolts for force and backup and 2 spits from the access belay in extra backup.

Linking :
Walk around the gap, pay attention not to slip when you get the webbing behind the trees. Plan to have more rope to make this operation.

Rigging :

Primitiv' system or Linegrip on the platform side.

Remarks :
The first french highline that have been crossed.
It is possible to sleep in the Dunand refugee (tax in summer, winter refugee in winter).

Accès Général : (Google Map)
D'Annecy, prendre la direction de La Roche sur Foron et tourner à droite direction Villaz, et allez direction Aviernoz puis suivre les indications pour aller au chalet de l'anglettaz. Se garer le plus haut possible (très différent selon les saisons.)
Prendre le chemin à pied jusqu'au refuge Dunand (1h à 3h). De là, prendre à gauche en suivant le chemin qui longe la falaise du Parmelan (direction Tête du Parmelan). Le Ritson Gap se trouve sur la crête en contrebas. (20mn du refuge)

La ligne:
Où?
La ligne se situe entre une plateforme accessible à pied à l'est, et un pilier à l'ouest qu'il faut descendre en rappel (10m).

Ancrages :
- Côté "Plateforme" : 3 broches en scellements pour la force et le backup et des arbres en backup derrière.
- Côté "Pilier" : 3 broches en scellements pour la force et le bakcup, et 2 spits plus haut pour les rappels d'accès.

Passage de la ligne :
Faire le tour de l'anse, attention de ne pas glisser en passant la ligne derrière les arbres côté plateforme. Prévoir un peu de corde en plus pour réaliser cette opération.

Tension :
Primitiv' ou Linegrip du côté plateforme.

Remarques :
La première highline française à avoir été traversée.
Possibilité de dormir au refuge Dunand (payant en été, refuge d'hiver en hiver).
